Fascinating story of young girl's life in pre-historic times.
I read the book over 25 years ago and I wanted to re-read it again. The whole series of books by Jean M. Auel is a fascinating story of a young girl's life in pre-historic times. The detail she writes about the scenery and plants makes you feel like you are there. I love all her books. i am collecting the hardcovers only now. I give it 5 stars.

Author of Ayla's story
I love Jean M. Auel as a writer, her stories of Ayla are amazing and the The Land of The Painted Caves I am sure I will enjoy.
