Kathy Smith's Total Body Lift Workout
Kathy Smith does it again! This dvd looked like a mellow, low-intensity, easy-to-follow workout, but it left me sore for a week! The dvd is broken into 4 segments (5 if you include the warm-up) which focus on the Arms/Upper Body, Legs, Buns and Belly. The segments are 10 minutes and you can pick out which you want to do. The exersizes are very pilates-like and very easy to follow. You'll get a moderate cardio effect, but nothing too aerobic. This workout is perfect for those who want to work their body hard, but not loose their breath in the process. You'll need 2-3 lb hand weights, a floor mat, towel, and a chair. And be prepared to be sore for several days after!!!!

Tantric Toning W/O with Stephanie de Phillipo-2004 dvd
1 of 1 found this helpful As I get older I appriciate these mellow, low impact, stress free workouts, and this one is a gem. The whole workout is on your feet...stocking or bare feet, and there is no equipment necessary. You do not need a lot of floor space to do it. The music is very soothing, and it goes well with the workout. The routine consists mainly of yoga-type poses and stretches. During the "fire" section there is a very mild aerobic routine, but nothing that will elevate your heart rate noticeably. This routine will probably NOT help you loose weight, but it does improve tone and flexibility. And it is enjoyable (if you like slower paced workouts). I use it in conjunction with my other, harder workouts as a warm-up or cool-down. It's also perfect for days I don't feel very energetic, or I feel too sore from harder workouts...kind-of an inbetweener.

Kamakiriad- Donald Fagen (cd 1993)
This is the greatest cd ever! If I was stranded on an island with only one cd, this would be it! I'm a big Steely Dan fan, though. Donald Fagen's music is SO SMOOTH and RELAXING, but at the same time it is LIVELY and ENERGIZING...it is difficult to describe any other way. His music is classic and not confined to a particular era. You will enjoy it just as much in 30 years as you do now (unlike all those disco albums that you can't believe you ever listened to!).
