Quality batteries, shipped quickly.
It's several months later and these batteries are still working great. They are at the very least equivalent to the originals from Makita and perhaps an improvement, solid power. Shipped quickly with safe packaging. My old tools are running great with these batteries.

The Transistor Radio Reinvented
The small size and low price of this radio belie it's practicality, usefulness and performance. First you will need to sturdy the instructions and controls for basic operation. Once in operation the radio is sensitive and selective enough for normal day to day listening. At my location, on the fringe of the crowded second largest radio market in the U.S., it easily receives FM stations from 95 miles distant. The sound quality is a surprise. The fidelity is quite listenable for speech. With music you won't hear heavy bass or lower midrange but the highs are there, given FM's top limit of 15kHz. Clear undistorted audio. Battery life is good. We use rechargeable Eneloop batteries. All in all this is a great little radio for listening while working in the yard. Several decades of technological advancement, since the days of pocket "transistor radios", are evident in this digital masterpiece. This is not your grandfather's pocket transistor radio. However, give him one, he'll will like it. By several for yourself. Stash them with freshly charged Eneloops and they will be ready when you need them.

A heavy duty tool that's ready when I need it.
I purchased a "fibreglass" rake at a local hardware store. While drawing it towards myself the tines/rake pulled free from the handle. It was revealed that the rake had a wood handle sheathed in fibreglass. The Seymour Midwest Structron is the real deal. A heavy duty tool that's ready when I need it.
