Bearings and assembly screws need to be hardened for coastal environmentnIt
Replaced entire unit after approx. one year in service. After a successful install, I disassembled the old one and the results are as follows.
1. The screws on the bottom were stainless, rest of screws in top of unit were zinc coated and were rusted severely.
2. The wind speed shaft bearings had froze and further examination found bearings full of rust. With the beach environment and the number of revolutions, the bearings need to be sealed bearings.
