shocking

most tailgates are heavy, hard to open without dropping it. this shock ous a life saver, nice slow controlled opening of the tailgate. highly recommend. careful of installing it, the one fitting that is put in the gate is hard to set, but can be done. update: don't waste your time with the included blind jack nut, it is too hard to set, mine didn't stay. go to your local ace, parkrose, hardware store, get a (I think out was) 10-20 blind nut . cheaper made but easier to set.

Very good

Will sat this is much better than anticipated, thicker metal than expected. The lock is made very well, the two bolts to lock it are solid. Was not expecting it to be this good for $27.50. Would buy another. The extra key is reassuring, and mounted on the wall, it is pretty solid.
