You COULD get a faster 50mm lens... but why?
3 of 3 found this helpful The Nikkor F1.8 50mm lAF-S prime lens is the best value in the Nikon DX world. It is light, crisp, durable and at a price of well under $200, not to be beaten by any lens on the market. Whether I am using the lens for macro product photography, wedding portraiture, senior photography or fashion, it bring to bear everything you need to great photography ... except the photographer's creative eye. You'll have to bring that yourself. Do yourself a favor... get one.
