A parts kit that saved my coffee pot
The parts are a direct replacement for what is inside the base of the 134 pot. If you are careful, you can replace the thermostat without replacing the heating element. The element gets brittle with repeated heating cycles so it's probably best for them to supply a new element with this kit. Anyway, The symptoms of needing a new thermostat is that the pot brews to fast and shuts down before the brewing process is completed. The first thing i noticed was that the new thermostat allowed the brewing process to take a much longer amount if time thus properly flavoring the coffee. I'll buy this again if I ever need it. Hopefully, since I replaced the original thermostat, it should last for life.
This may fit the 138 pot (8 cup) as well though I didn't check it out myself. Since it's a thermostat, it's should brew a larger pot of water to the same temperature as well. Someone else can correct me on that.

Works great with cast iron cookware
After 60 days of waiting, and no product. I ended up ordering this from an american supplier. It cost 3 times as much but at least I had it in my hands after a reasonable shipping delay. These chain mail pads work great to clean cast iron pots, skillets and any other surface that isn't scratch treated. You could use it on aluminum too but don't know how clean or shiney it would look. Its primary use is for cast iron. After cleaning, season the iron with a little oil to keep it rust free. Now that I have one, Its hard to justify using a brillow pad or SOS pad. They are just to delicate for cast iron.

Brew Basket base Liner with sizable hole for the stem.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have a Farberware electric 134 model 4 cup coffee pot. This liner will fit all the farberware series 4-8-12 cup models with the stailess steel baskets. It fits neatly in the bottom of the basket covering the drain holes. It works by filtering the coffee through the paper instead of just allowing it to flow into the pot unfiltered. I've been using the standard 8 cup paper corrigated drip filters and just poking a hole in the bottom for the stem to stick through. There is less waste with these disks instead of an entire cup. Haven't noticed any taste difference. They both allow for easy clean up because the disk will pop out of the basket about as easily as the paper cup.
