Discs Fail to Burn Properly
1 of 1 found this helpful I got a good bargain on these and I have used this brand before. However, I am getting a lot of Coasters/Burn Failures when I attempt to copy discs. Wasted discs and wasted money. I won't purchase this brand again!

Not a great machine at all
0 of 2 found this helpful I have used Toshiba DVD Recorders for the past 12 years with minimal hassle until of course they wore out from normal use. Recently I had to purchase my 3rd replacement recorder and I bought one that was slightly different than the model I used before. I researched it on line and it seemed to have similar characteristics to my previous recorder but it was less money.
When I attempted to hook it up to my cable box with the standard a/v jacks that I've always used, I either got no signal or one that had a split screen black and white picture and no audio. I know I was NOT hooking it up incorrectly as after having issues with this new machine, I hooked my original recorder back up the same way as well as a totally different model I borrowed and they worked fine.
I'm guessing this model was not compatible for some reason and I had to return it. I ended up losing half the money on that purchase but I won't get into that here.
I ended up finding a seller who had the same model I owned previously and I decided to purchase it even though I had to pay more money. I had it up and running in 5 minutes after opening the box.
Stay away from this DR410. It's garbage. Go for the DR430 instead.

Fantastic Machine!
3 of 3 found this helpful The exact Recorder that I purchased seven years ago finally hit the bucket! I was happy to find a used replacement in great shape for a reasonable price. It is very easy to use and I hooked it up in less than five minutes with no issues. I realize most people don't archive shows or personal recordings anymore due to so many things now available on the internet. I still prefer to have my own copies and this machine does the job well. It doesn't have the features of a more expensive machine but it is easy enough for me to use and I am very happy with it. I am very grateful to have a replacement.
