Retro and fun but not built as well as they were.
1 of 2 found this helpful I had one of these many, many years ago so its nice to see they are still available - quite retro, no batteries. In the intervening years they have to my memory become more flimsy and sometimes the letter dial doesn't quite line up and when you press the trigger there is a disconcerting crunching noise and or it doesn't advance the tape. This can lead to quite a few mistakes and tape wastage. Also you cannot see the letter you just embossed so with long words you need a good memory for what you just typed in.
Its best to advance it one space at the beginning and end of a word.
Curiously I found it worked best when held tilted to one side by 45 degrees or so - stopped the crunching.
So still good, build quality declined somewhat, limited type but no electronics to go wrong.
