How Rare?
I have tried with no success to find how may of these were produced. Engelhard must have inventory records somewhere, but since they were taken over by BASF no one has been able to supply me with that information. Because of that, it's hard to assess the coin's collector's value. Without the mintage numbers, these 1- ounce pure platinum coins are now probably worth 10 to 30 percent over spot. In 20 years, who knows!?

Avoid Cut Finger
This 20 Lb line is the best I've found; however, because of its small diameter, I use bandage tape on my index finger to avoid getting cut. Calcutta line is very strong and durable, i.e. it lasts for years. Use a loosened drag when you surf fish because a big ray, red, or tarpon will carry your pole and reel out to sea if you snooze!

A Thirty Minute, Relax At the Beach Bait
This bait stayed on long enough to catch a pompano, and I would recommend it for high wind and
rough surf where other bait is beaten off the hook.
