Toshiba VHS
I am 79 years old. Started using VHS in 1978. Had many brands of video recorders. When i got the Toshiba line, i found not only a good picture, but excellent response to the controls.
Other VCRs were sluggish - making decisions after i asked for Fast Forward, Pause, or other change in the tape handling. The Toshibas (i've had 6 over the years) were great- great picture and great response to the remote control.
I do slo-mo. pause to look at a single frame and x2 and fast forward (thru the boring parts) and it's always quick to respond to the request.
I currently have 2 on line, in case there are 2 TV channels i want to record simultaneously.

Sony DSC-W220 Camera
I've had several iterations of this camera for about 10 years. Small, easy to use and produces an excellent SECOND shot. For reasons i don't understand, each initial shot i take in a new environ requires a "practice" shot, which will be out of focus, followed by the "real" shot, which is fine.
I've used it for all sorts of distances- from close-up to large area shots. Great results.
Because i carry it and have shot over 4,000 shots over the years, i've managed to BREAK several, replacing them with the identical model. This purchase relates to the fact that i've pressed the "take" button so many (thousands) of times that it takes me more pressure to make the electrical connection, hence needs that repair.
There are better cameras, but they cost in the several hundreds; this one has served me well.

Mounting plate too thick
I believed i'd get a good value as these pads were 1/6th the price of the official Bose units.
They looked fine and i believed i'd get my money's worth plus.
However, when i tried to mount the pads to the phones, they "wouldn't go." Turns out the mounting plate of the official $35. Bose pads is 1/2 the THICKNESS of the real mounting plate and they wouldn't hook under the ears that accept the plate.
I ended up paying the Bose price.
