It works, but....
Have had one ( middle of the night) rain storm since installing the extension. Came to look next morning and it was fully extended---so it worked.
On the other hand, the twist tie holding it in place may not be adequate to keep it in place for long. It needs a better connection method to connect light-weight plastic to an aluminum downspout. That problem should not be too difficult to solve.
My problem was to convey rain water away from the house, and over a sidewalk. I needed an extension that accomplished that. This one does. But I can't leave it on the sidewalk as a trip andfall hazard. I know that our warm and damp weather will soon make it a mess that I don't wish to handle, but handle it will be necessary.
