Easy to replace.
Replacing this part made a remarkable difference; beforehand I was convinced that my pump was the main problem; but no, it was an air leak in the control valve caused by this part.

Works perfect
The OEM cord developed a short in the internal wiring, just before the male plug; this one works perfect and is sturdier. We will get another year or 2 life out of the hand vac.

Salonpas patches have proven to be reliable, just don't overuse (same spot) because you could get a skin rash.
