Needs a bit of work for smooth operation

Well, you get what you pay for. For the price, I still think this is a decent purchase, but it does need some tweaking. The gibs need to be removed and sanded to remove some kind of splatter (not sure what it is but it is quite rough). It does have thrust bearings on the inside and outside of the of the X and Y adjusting shafts (good news), these bearings had no lubricant, and there's not enough space between the outer bearing and the fixed plate, this causes binding. I inserted a thin washer between the mounting plate and the outer thrust bearing on both the X and Y slides and this solved that problem. The X, Y adjustment is very smooth now and with properly adjusted gibs, virtually no play in either table. Also lubricated all four thrust bearings and races. It does have a bit of backlash but it is minimal and for my application it's not an issue. I'll probably run a file over some very sharp edges on the top table including the T track slots. I'd still recommend it knowing that 1-2 hours of work will make it operate much better.

Powers a car radio

I'm using it to power a car radio. It works just fine. The voltage adjust works well and provides a fair bit of voltage range. I have mine set for 13.5 volts.

Excellent blower

Dayton makes a good product. Fan is quiet and moves a lot of air. Will make an excellent dust collector for my power carving and sanding.
