Taiyo Yuden CDs and DVDs always reliable
I've been producing audio for over thirty years. When writable CDs first came on the scene and it because possible for us to provide one-off CDs for clients, I went through a lot of trial and error trying to find blank discs that would reliably write to red book standards. Often, you would buy a batch and half would fail. I first discovered Taiyo Yuden CDs (with the blue dye) when they were sold under the Verbatim DataLife Plus name. With Taiyo Yuden, a 100-pack would generally yield 100 successful writes.
Since then I've relied on Taiyo Yuden CDs and DVDs for a variety of projects. Since most media delivery is now done online, my use has moved to archiving. I trust Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs for data archive on a daily basis and in the many years I've been relying on them, I've yet to have one archive disc fail.
I would strongly recommend these discs for professional applications.
