Celestron NexYZ Cerephone Adapter for Binoculars/Spotting Scope/microscope Black

Works well on different eye pieces.

Originally, I bought a cheaper cell phone adapter and it was very difficult to get it aligned properly to take a picture through the telescope or binoculars eye piece. Frustrated I found this Celestron three axis adapter on sale for $40 and it worked great the first time straight out of the box. I know part of the problems I had with the cheaper adapters was related to the thick OtterBox phone case, but that was no problem for this adapter.

Good mirror-less camera at a good price.

The camera connected quickly to my remote (Bluetooth) App and Wi-Fi network. It is in “like new condition” and although I’m still a novice and learning how to use it, it has taken some nice pictures. I was looking for a good starter camera that still had a lot of features and would produce good images right out of the box. This seems to be a good choice and buying a used camera kept me within my budget. So far, I’m very happy with this purchase.

Accurate focus without Image Shaking

The focus motor was a little tricky to install because centering the mounting plate and motor over the focus knob shaft required loosening the shaft from the threaded rod because the bearings are pressed into the telescope housing on my Evolution 8-in SCT. It is also quite sensitive to the way you tighten each and every screw. Once installed, it was easy to run the calibration from the handset or a laptop if you download the Celestron calibration tool. Once installed and calibrated you can adjust the focus quickly and accurately either locally or remotely (if you have Wi-Fi) without the image shaking. This is a really big plus if you are using your telescope for Astro photography.
