Exactly what I needed, works great
Video chip on my sister's D830 overheated and blew due to accumulated dust and cat hair on the inside side of the cooling fins. In a little over an hour, I had the old motherboard out and this refurb in and working like a charm. The Dell manual doesn't mention it, and it's very conveniently but forgettably on the underside near the second bank of DIMMs, so I almost forgot to transplant the BIOS battery, but having to re-enter the date and time on second reboot triggered me to remember that final little tweak. I then had to (chose to) re-update the BIOS, which is a little kludgey on Windows 10 since Dell's very old updater for this machine has to run under DOS, but only a minor annoyance, and understandable, given the laptop was delivered to run Vista. Is it fast? Not by today's standards, of course, but considering it's a 10+ year-old machine running Windows 10 quite adequately, how can I not say yes?

Quality build but disappointing sound quality.
Build quality is good overall, although the mic feels pretty plasticky. The way they sit on my ears, the mic ends up uncomfortably close to my face. Otherwise, they're quite light and comfortable. I have to say I'm disappointed in the sound quality of the Jabra GN Evolve 40, though. I can't really recommend them for anyone who wants a headset that's also good for music. I bought this to replace my old Logitech H390 headset, which had a broken headband after many years of use. The Logitech was a better headset in almost every way, and much cheaper, even compared to the really great price I got on eBay.

Noticeable difference at our home
Possibly the acid test is to go on vacation and check your nose when you return. You get used to the smell of your house after a while and may not know there's a problem until someone visits and gasps a bit while wrinkling their nose when they walk in the door. In the past, we'd come in the door after being gone for a while and be hit with an odor a tad less than welcoming. We just returned from a long weekend away after having placed the odor eliminators in strategic locations a couple weeks ago, and nothing less than pleasant greeted our noses when we came in. We believe something's a good value if you're happy you spent the money on it. We're very happy we bought these, and that makes them a good value for us.
