This fantastic nature guide is a great gift to blooming naturalists.
This is an excellent book. As a rafting guide I've been thru many copies of this and the SW version. When I have a guest who keeps taking the book out and looking up all sorts of different things, I know we have inspired that guest to celebrate the wild. Somewhere near the end of the river trip we present the book as a gift memento of the trip with inscriptions and signatures of all the other trip participants.

It is my hope to give away many more copies on many river trips.
As a raft guide, I carry this book in our reference library for my guests on river trips. Over the years I have been through many copies of this guide. When I see a particular guest who keeps repeatedly getting out this guide and looking up different flora and fauna, I know this guest has been cultivated into a great nature lover. I have all members of the trip sign the guide and it is presented to our nature loving guest as a trip memento at the last campfire before taking-out.
