Sanyo VWM-699 MTS 4-Head Hi-Fi Stereo VCR VHS Player

Unusual VCR

Only a very few were made and are incredibly hard to find as back in the early 2000s. I like the lighted buttons, VFD display, but what made this particular Sanyo unique was the VU audio meter, which appeals to the flight engineer in me... The remote has a built in LCD display which is supposed to go with this VCR as with the original manual makes these as ever elusive.

Undiscovered musical gems found inside.

I bought Back to Back mainly for the tracks from only the Love Unlimited Orchestra as I am into lavish orchestral productions. Unfortunately these selections really never got the air time on popular or easy listening radio, with the exception of "Loves Theme". Rhapsody In White is one of my best favorites. Undiscovered gems of the style only Barry White has been known for. While Barry got the recognition as a fantastic artist, singer and composer, the orchestra suffered from lack of recognition. I guess you really have to appreciate classical orchestral music to enjoy the instrumental classics in my book. In reality in my humble opinion a band or an orchestra can make or break an artist. In all the CD is good quality, however I was expecting to see a detailed booklet accompanying the disc. Left me disppointed in that area.

Great battery subsitute.

Works great as a battery substitute for Monument Grill LED lighting, which is concealed inside the cabinet and its connected to an outdoor timer. Has a high enough current output to run any other battery powered items if necessary. Being a DIYer, I am planning to buy another one to power a couple Hess Toy trucks on display without having to change batteries all the time.
