Essential for falling standing trees
Most chainsaws big enough to fall trees come with a set of spikes on the motor side of the saw bar. Great for bucking wood. If you fall trees, it is also very handy to have spikes on the right side if the bar. These spikes hold the saw in place while to do the cross cuts. You can rotate the bar into the tree trunk. I fought cross cuts for years until I discovered falling dogs. This brand is really nice because the over size lower spikes extend well below the bottom of the saw. When you set the saw on the ground, the bar is raised off the ground. Helps keep dirt off of the chain. Don’t buy a set that does not include mounting bolts or you will fight trying to fit the right size.

Excellant 1/4 " riveter
1 of 1 found this helpful Needed a 1/4 air riveter for years but they were to expensive untill i found this model. It works so well I got a second one so I wouldn't have to change tips between 3/16-1/4.

Factory original part with ratchet disk upgrade
The brakes on the 8274s get rusted up after 20 or 30 years and can be near impossible to clean up and rebuild. Replacing the entire unit costs about double the cost of rebuild parts but then everything is factory new. Older model 8274s have the original style ratchet disk which have numerous large holes in the plate. The latter versions have a solid ratchet disk for the brake pads to push against. An important upgrade to increase braking force and hold.
