Beautiful Film. Recommended.
1 of 1 found this helpful I am quite familiar with the western edge of this beautiful state, so I was rather enthusiastic about viewing this "movie". The scope of the footage covers some of the state's most well known natural areas. You will see fabulous clips of the Buffalo, Cossatot and Arkansas Rivers as well as Lake Chicot, a former bend in the Mississippi River left behind many years ago when the river channel move east. Mount Magazine makes a majestic appearance, as it should, considering the fact that it is Arkansas' highest peak. I would have enjoyed some footage of the Ouachita Mountains and National Forest. The inclusion of Rich Mountain and Queen Wilhemina State Park would have been nice as well. My personal complaints aside, this is a beautifully filmed piece that features both a natural noises soundtrack as well a Smooth Jazz soundtrack, both pleasing to the ear.

Monongahela by The Oak Ridge Boys
This is a 22 year old recording(1988) that was recorded, mixed and mastered entirely in the digital domain. It has great sound for it's age. The song "Gonna Take A Lot Of River" kicks off this disc and is a classic slice of Oak Ridge Boys 4 part harmony with a catchy chorus that refers to the Mississippi, Monongahela and Ohio rivers. This single has been omitted from recent remastered hits packages and this may be the best place to find it with good sound quality. The remainder of this disc is classic Oaks although much has been made about William Lee Golden being replaced. The harmonies are as good as ever and the songwriting isn't lacking in quality. I feel this was a solid performance from the group and I recommend it without reservation. If your an Oaks fan, pick it up. If you're unfamiliar with them, this might be worth giving a listen.

Euphoria by Leftover Salmon
I really enjoy this recording. Songs like Muddy Water Home, River's Rising, and Ain't Gonna Work alone are worth the price of this one. Some don't seem to like Euphoria because it does not stretch out into long jams. I take it for what it is, an awesome piece of Rock inflected Bluegrass and a great place to start if you've never heard Leftover Salmon. While you're at it, check out the Bridges To Bert album. It's another delicious piece of Salmon that is prepared just right.
