Instant medium format pictures.

While the original Polaroid went out of business, and Fuji has all but stopped making film for the Polaroid back, there is new production film available. A group in Europe saved the last set of production equipment and now market under the name Polaroid Original (available at Target). The wide range of speed adjustments on this back allows you to take advantage of their 600 series film. While the image only covers the standard 6 cm sq, the quality is great and should scan really well. The available Fuji film also shoots really well, It'll be nice to be able to check the quality of a shot after a quick 2-minute wait for the picture to develop. The back I purchased was in excellent condition, came with the manual, hooked right up and worked like a charm.

Great product.

Got this for my RIA 1911. I've installed similar units from more well known brands (which were also higher priced) and they all required a bit of fitting,and trimming to,get the safety to properly engage and the right grip panel to clear the retaining tab on the right safety lever. This unit from HGW dropped right in, the safety works perfectly without any adjustments and the retaining pin design has no impact on the right grip. A true winner of a product.
