Excellent Book about an Ugly Period in Our Nation's History.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a very well written book about one of the ugliest periods in our nation's history. The author did a good job of describing the investigation into the Osage Murders which required a lot of investigative work on his part. I seldom read a book in only two sittings but I did with this one. It is hard to put down. One of the remarkable things about his approach is when he reaches the point where prime suspects were tried and convicted, he spends about 1/3 of the remaining book describing "the rest of the story." It was horrible. This is not a pleasant read, but it is a story that should be read.
