Wanna Build a Boat?

I love building boats. There's been a lot of trail and error over the years but I have learned a few things. First of all, don't go the cheap route and buy the Bondo polyester resin. I've tried it more than once (because I'm frugal) and both times were complete nightmares; smelly, toxic, sticky, gummy, short working time, frustrating. Thankfully, I spent just a little more the next time and bought epoxy resin. This stuff is the gold standard in boat building for many reasons. It almost has no smell, it's super simple to mix, it still works if the ratios are not perfect, you don't have to rush, it wets out easily, it makes great fillets when mixed with sawdust, and my results are usually great. It does work best when you closely follow the instructions but, really, it's almost dummy proof. Plus, this is the best price I've seen for the stuff.

Just What I Needed!

So I was in a local play and my character was the star of a movie about killer barracudas (yes, it was a fun and funny part to play). This necklace was perfect for my character. It is nice quality and feels heavy duty. On that note, it's larger and heavier than you would think. The fish is around 3" long and the chain is thick like a small rope. The fish really looks angry which I think is cool. I was really pleased with this purchase.
