These work great but you need to get your old ones off first - easier said than done with a 2006 Lexus RX400h
I have a 2006 Lexus RX400h and had to replace my hatch shocks (the gate would go up but come back down when it was "cold" - below about 70 degrees). The problem is that the 2006 RX400h has shocks that are connected to the ball brace via an internal c-clamp. In order to remove these you need to pull the shock and ball brace assembly off the car and use a Dremel with a cutoff wheel being careful not to gauge the ball in the ball brace. The goal is to remove enough material to get at the c-clamp with a pair of plyers and get it removed. Once done for all 4 ball braces, simply put them back on the car and install these new shocks.
