A lot of bang for the buck!
3 of 3 found this helpful I have many Samsung products: a Blu-ray player, a TV and a Galaxy S4 cell phone in addition to the DVD-C500. This DVD player upscales [upconverts] the image via the HDMI digital output which improves the video quality compared to the analog outputs. This player has component and composite video outputs in addition to the HDMI output which makes it possible to connect it to any TV. The reason I rated this player 4 instead of 5 stars is because the audio drops out on the chapter markers via the HDMI output, but that does not happen via the analog audio output. I've purchased 2 of these players thus far, 1 for a friend, and will be purchasing another one soon for another friend. I've logged many hours with my DVD-C500 and will log many more
