Good Value But Xfinity Will Not Provide Installation Support
18 of 20 found this helpful Bought this modem/router for a friend who is not able to install without help. She asked Xfinity to send a service person to install it but the service person claimed installation failed because the system showed the modem was already registered to another owner. I spoke with the supplier who indicated that Xfinity does not do a good job of updating its data base and was instructed that the modem MUST be self installed. In addition he suggested that the backup battery should be removed until setup is complete to erase memory of past usage. Installation was successful when we followed these instructions.
