I admired Celia Cruz for so many yrs when she was living, and I recently saw her home in Florida.

Classic DVD Blunder
The basic problem is that the RGB connections on back of my tv and those on the player do not work, so that the image is only black and white. Any other combinations will give a reddish picture.

Tension Filled Drama
The story is multi-layered. You have two men who at first seem not to be fully aware of their bi-sexual natures, while living in a machismo Latin culture. It is painfully obvious that the older officer, Chavez, is trying to dominate, Gomez, his subordinate, while solving a murder case. But, the case ends up being the older man's undoing because drug running is at the heart of the murder case, along with the unfolding of his suppressed full sexual nature. Unfortunately, when Chavez exposes the drug running, he also succumbs to his secret passion at the same time, and he is killed by younger officer, who was protecting the drug runners from the beginning, and spying on Chavez. Gomez, the younger detective was the killer all the while. Outstanding dramatic performance by Damian Bichir as the emotionally torn apart police supervisor. It's easy to understand why he has been nominated for an Academy Award. I looked at his extensive body of work, and it is impressive. I'm already on the hunt for more of his work....BRAVO MR. BICHIR. But, Chino Darin his no slouch either. He is able to convince his boss that he is completely innocent of the murder that is the center of the case. He tantalizes his boss with fawning flattery, while at the same appear planing to kill him as soon as he unravels the truth. But, the sexual tension between the two men is key. But an assassin always gets his man. Chino Darin, the younger officer delivers the line "I'm going to miss you, Boss", after he kills him with chilled precision....EXCELLENT!!
