Heats up with use

I have used this unit to power my 12 volt chest fridge for about a week now. It works, the price was right, but I don't leave it on while I sleep, because the unit gets very hot after only a few minutes. I can hold it, but after a few minutes, it is uncomfortable in my hand due to the temp of the power supply. I feel I can't trust it while I am sleeping.
