Incredibly easy to set up - Part of it works, but not all.
This product is intended to convert your old VHS into digital format.
I've tested this Video VHS converter on Windows 7 64 bits and works fine with some exceptions, sometimes: The Honestech program during the recording time sometimes freezes without being able to make any other until I restart the program again but even if it freezing the programs it keeps recording fine till the end, that's the only problem I had a few times. The quality it's good.
You get the option to burn the end results to a DVD or else to your hard disk. Your best bet is to get an external hard drive to save all of your projects on to ensure you have all of your tapes in a digital format. Discs get destroyed and wear out. It sucks having to record these things time and time again. Beside that, it will keep a good copy of the tape so that when they start wearing out even more with age, you don't lose the best copy you get when recording
It works fine with any video player with RCA output or Firewire (IEEE 1394) port. The VIDBOX requires no external power adaptor.
