Your result will be based partly on the tool and partly on your technique.
This is a great little painting tool that I found to be as accurate and much faster than using a paint brush next to ceilings and around door molding. Your result will be based partly on the tool and partly on your technique. I found the key is to get the right amount of paint on the pad and NONE on the rollers. I used a regular sloping paint tray with very little paint. Holding the tool at a very slight angle to the surface of the paint, I skimmed the tool pad across the top of the paint and pulled just a little paint up the slope of the tray. I did not try to get paint on the entire pad, but just an inch or so on the end of the pad next to the rollers - but not on the rollers. With the paint on the pad, I would place the tool on the wall an inch away from the ceiling (or door molding) and push it slowly forward and angled towards the ceiling until the wheels made contact with the ceiling. Then I would push/pull the tool back and forth 3-4 times over maybe a 2' length until the line next to the ceiling was as straight as possible. (If you have a popcorn ceiling, it won't work.) If the unpainted stripe on the wall next to the ceiling was a little too wide (e.g. 1/8"+) I would press the tool a little harder against the wall to squeeze a bit more paint out to the pad. You will probably need to practice a bit, and I needed to use some ceiling paint here and there to touch up my mistakes where I pressed too hard.

Great value for a 000 12-fretter
If you are a fan of fingerstyle playing, you'll likely enjoy these little RK 000s. They are nice, low cost, example of Martin 000-style guitars of the 20's and early 30's. A period of time when Spanish classical nylon string guitars were slowly morphing into the modern steel string guitar of today. From the outside, other than the steel strings, they look very similar to a classical guitar. A small body, a wide neck that joins the body at the 12 fret, traditional slotted headstock, and fairly simple cosmetic appointments. String spacing at the saddle is wider than most steel string guitars to give a little extra room for fingerstyle. Inside, the bracing is that used by steel string guitars to provide more strength than the type of bracing used in a classical guitar. Unless set up by the seller for you, you may have to invest a bit of time or money to fine tune the setup for your particular needs. The RK is not as loud as a larger dreadnought guitar, but there are acoustic-electric models available if more volume is needed. Don't expect the higher quality of a more expensive guitar, but the RK can provide a good value to many players. And not all RKs are the same. If you can, check out a few before your decide to buy. If you are considering this type of guitar, play the little RK and see it feels right to you. Whatever you choose to play, enjoy!

Lightweight, quick and accurate.
1 of 1 found this helpful Have tried a few other tuners for my acoustic guitars, and none of them have provided the combination of lightweight, quick and accurate reading of the Supertight Snark. The display is bright, bold and easy to read.
