It does not work

I bought the key and then spent $120 to get it cut and programmed. The proximity sensor does not work. You can unlock the doors and raise the hatch using the buttons but you cant open the car with the key in your pocket and you cant start it. I'm $180 dollars out of pocket for something that does not work.
