    An Excellent Lens
Came fully functional. Great for practicing manual. Hefty and smooth action! Sharp and well taken care of, at least there wasn't any problems that I could see where it's functionality was concerned so props to the person who took care of their lenses :) Replaced my kit lens which is just as capable, but I prefer this one over it.

    Beastly little guy
I love the mechanical, metal, feel. It's 1.4 is great at low light. AND for portait. Bokeh is quite nice although nowhere near as beastly as an 85mm or an m44-2 that I own, but it does a good enough job that I don't need to complain unless I want a more artsy look. I seem to go to this one for more situations than any of my other collection of various 50's. This is my work horse 50 :D and does so well!

Surprising little bugger of a mirrorless
My brother bought a sony a6000 a year ago, quite happy with it. I bought a nikon, used old lenses (which was more reasonable using older lenses because I could learn manual). I learned manual on a D3300. It was a great camera. This is a replacement. You might think... WHAT?! Well, the thing is, I was eventually going to upgrade to an a7ii. And I needed to stay lens compatible and have a secondary portable. Well, some research, this became my budget travel / street lens. And once I got used to the small form factory, and slightly clunky interface-which isn't terrible, as some would seem to suggest. You have to remember, where I'm coming from, I didn't use auto focus, or auto detection. I came with manual in mind. And it surprised me. Not only was it decent at pretty much everything I did with it. It's performance was actually quite good. I expected something a bit less than my D3300. But this exceeded those expectations once I mounted some old lenses, learned the manual settings (I really only needed shutter speed and iso anyway - most of my lenses have an aperture ring). What sold me on this was the EVF with much less chimping, shoot from the hip style, easily unrecognizable platform (for street), options of conversion lenses (old school glass please!), but also convenient, fit your pocket size. Still produces great stills. Does well in low light. Auto focus is good when I use it. I felt better about recomposing my shots. Felt that I could hit that sweet spot thanks to the EVF. I felt better about the technicalities, because, although I had reservations about all the options... I didn't actually need them all that much since I love tinkering with the three main settings. It's a get up and go camera. It's extras are just extras once you get down to it. And I can do what I love to do without feeling bogged down or limited. Overall, very impressed :)
