FWIW, I very carefully put a slit in the top of the shrink and pulled the module out. The inside had some stains from staple rust, but there was no highlighter or other marks. Looks pretty legit! I'll store the shrink with it, both in a nice sleeve, but the old shrink was warping an otherwise perfect module.
