Great Camera with the same 1.8 lens
People have different needs, and what I needed was an update from the Sony rx100 original camera, but my requirement was that I needed the 1.8 lens, not the newer mark vi or vii which opted to change the lens to 2.8 and added more reach. I shoot in low light at 24mm and with the 1.8 lens, the images are great!

2 of 2 found this helpful Likes- 2.5 inch LCD screen. 6x optical zoom which in 35mm format would be equivalent to 35mm to 210mm zoom. Grid lines to help keep your images level. It is small but not too small. The flash gives you pretty decent distance coverage, better than the flash on the Canon 20d. Great for vacation trips when you don't want to carry a full size camera like the 20d.
Dislikes- There really isn't anything major, but the 6 megapixel label is a little deceiving like all the other point and shoot cameras on the market. Most images will still give you an average of 3 megapixels or more, shot on Large superfine, and to be honest, most users will not even need that.
Why did I decide to buy it- For use on trips and vacations.
Suggestions- Buy a screen protector, they are really cheap and will protect the large screen. Also buy at least a 1 gig sd card, which will probably be enough for most long trips, and shoot on Large superfine for the best quality, and for those that like to shoot movies, it will give you a lot more recording time. I have a 1 gig sd card and a 2 gig sd card.
