Handy Set of Resistors

I was looking for a basic set of resistors for general electronic jobs and this seemed to fit the requirement. I really like the way they have been labelled with the resistance value, and also that they are in 3 packets, each with a label listing the contents. I did measure a resistor of each value and most were well inside the 1% tolerance. A couple of values appeared to have been a little outside 1%, but this could also be down to an accuracy error with my multimeter. The resisistors themselves look fine, clearly colour banded and with nice shiny leads meaning they are not old stock and should solder well. Overall, very happy with the set.

Genuine Parts Give Much Closer Shave

I have an ageing Philishave 4401 3-head shaver. I had always used genuine Philips replacement heads in the past, but baulking at the expense, I then started using much cheaper unbranded ones. These didn't give a particularly close shave, and one of the foils broke in less than 12 months. So this time, I splashed out on these genuine Philips ones and what a difference! They look very similar to the unbranded ones, but the cutting performance is far better. I now have the best & easiest shave that I have had for years - forgotten just how close this razor can go. I'm very pleased. Were they worth the extra money? I think so. It seems a lot, but probably half the price of a new razor. Providing they remain durable over the next couple of years, I shall continue to recommend & use them. Changing them is easy - just pop out the "spider", push out the old ones, drop in the new ones, replace the "spider and off you go. They will centre themselves.
