Compact with good sound
3 of 3 found this helpful Bearing in mind its size, the sound quality from this unit is really quite good - although it only has one small speaker so look elsewhere if you want to fill your room with sound. Easy to set up - it automatically acquires all the receivable DAB stations on first switch-on. Only 6 tuning presets though (3 on DAB, 3 on FM band) which is a bit stingy. Works on batteries or mains (via a supplied "wall wart" adapter), somewhat usefully it falls back to batteries if the mains power is interrupted without needing to unplug the mains adapter cable from the back of the set. It has a nice, clear backlit LCD display showing station information etc, and a 3.5mm jack for headphones for private listening.
Bottom line is we were so pleased with the one we purchased for use in our kitchen that we bought another identical one for my mother-in-law to listen to in her conservatory.

Good lightweight, foldable wheelchair
4 of 4 found this helpful Bought this for occasional use when out & about in our Mazda MX-5, as a conventional folding wheelchair simply won't fit in the boot.
We like:
Easily fits in the small boot of a Mazda MX-5
Folding mechanism is easy to operate
Brakes are secure, and with handle-mounted controls are easy to operate
It is quite light
We don't like:
Some parts are distinctly cheap/lightweight - especially the folding/detatching mechanism of the footrests.
The supplied bag is a snug fit and the material/zip is not especially stout. I doubt it will last beyond a year or two.
There are a couple of removable plastic caps which cover the exposed sharp edges of the folding mechanism and protect the bag. They are dead easy to misplace or lose completely...
The front castors are prone to catching on e.g. raised flagstones/cobbles and as they are tucked fairly well back this makes the whole chair prone to tipping forward. We've only had one actual face-plant episode but it's something that I (the pusher) have to constantly think about.
In summary, it does what it does quite well, but there are signs of being built down to a price and that tendency to tip forwards is a bit worrying. For the price though I really cannot complain and it does fit in the very restricted boot of a Mazda sports car! It means we can enjoy our days out without being tied to the immediate environs of the car park.

Interesting to build
A genuinely interesting and absorbing build. The completed model also has some enduring "play value".
