Crazy Man
I had one of these a few years back and it lasted about 7-10 years. Dropped it once too often and the base broke and had to get a new one. Bought the newer version (red) with the removable cooking surface. It was ok until the oil got down into the base and final gummed up the stirring mechanism. till it would not turn and burned up the motor. There was no way to really clean out the oil in the heating base and there was no way to keep the hot oil from seeping into the base. This one only lasted a little over a year. I needed another corn popper and I was determined to try and get the Original Stir Crazy. It was difficult but I finally succeeded to find another one (New). I have now had this one for a few week and have used it almost every day since. It even pops quicker and better than the newer red version. I am going to take good care of this one as I am afraid that I will not be able to replace it if something happens to it. Maybe I will buy another one while I can, so I will have another one for the future. The Original Black Stir Crazy is the best corn popper ever made. Bring it back.

Be careful when getting on and off!
My only concern with the product is getting on, in position and then getting off when doing certain exercises. Once I get on and in position the work out if great. I am 81 years old and almost 6' 2" tall, I am starting off my exercise routine with the ramp raised only 2 or 3 positions from the bottom and this may have some effect on getting into position. It is hard to hold the handles of the pulleys with the backboard in position and then get on it and lay down and then get back up when done. Also, I cannot lay down with my head resting at the top and have the heel of my feet on the bottom of the board. I make do with holding my head up without support just off the board. Maybe it will get easier as I advance in raising the board to a higher level or it may be worse. We'll have to see. One other thing is that the backboard could be a few inches wider. Otherwise, I find the machine very comfortable and easy to use and get a nice workout from using it. I use it to work out three days a week for about an hour each time. Thank you!
