I couldn’t be happier so I definitely recommend this seller. There is a code on the back by the handle. When I researched this razor (Gillette's site AND other listings) the code told me that it was made in the fourth quarter of 1974. Allowing for the end of fourth quarter it may have hit the stores in Dec through 1995. I wish I could remember the code numbers.

Old stock
Battery did not work. I bought two from this company- One was shipped from CA and the other from NY. The one from NY was dead on arrival.

Heavy stainless steel construction, however igniters don't work!
The product is reasonably good quality. However, the new igniters are not working. I have not returned the product as I have several hours of cleaning, dismantling and reassembly invested. I will continue trying to get them to work or will just use a gas lighter.
