High end enough for Me!!.
1 of 1 found this helpful Firstly, it came well packaged and the seller was very helpful. I had until recently, a reasonably powerful PC to run My Music Software and some mid level gaming. After my motherboard shorted out, leaving my PC powerless I went in search of replacent parts. Although dated, I decided to try and find an exact replacement of the processor I had. I got lucky, as the original which must have died along with the motherboard was also an 8 core processor but was 3.10ghz speed as opposed to the replacement which is 4ghz. I am not a tech head but was told it would make a marginal improvement in the processing speed, and I think it has!!. This processor would be more than sufficient for general PC use and most music creation software. It is fine to a degree for gaming too, but if you are looking to set up a PC for High Res gaming, you would probably need something more powerful.

Works fine for Me
This is clearly not the fastest board on the market, but it has always performed well for Me. I purchased this after my original motherboard finally passed on after 9 years!!. It is an exact dopy of the one I was replacing. I have successfully run games like World of Warcraft and FFXIV, but my main Game which I have played for 7 years is Star Trek Online, which runs great. Along with the Motherboard and My AMD 8 core processor 4ghz I use 16gb DDR3. I have been using this set up for sometime as I also create music on my PC, which was the original reason for upgrading my set up. I also recently purchased a slightly more high end GPU to finish off my system. To sum up, this would be more than powerful, possibly even overkill for a regular PC user, but is right for my needs. If you are a serious gamer and want ultimate High Res, you would need to get a more powerful system.
