Useable, but with regret
I like the bow, it played well with a Ma Zhibin violin that I also bought from Yita music. The bow feels balanced and lively but unfortunately I've been let down by the following after only a few days playing:
The silver wrapping is loose (in a low of places), requiring me to re-solder and glue it onto the stick, but each time I touched up one place with solder, the adjacent wire wrap came loose, I stopped soldering after about 10mm of wire became loose). The leather wrap was done well but was also let down by the loose wire underneath, and when I took the frog off, there was a fair bit of dust that had collected on the thread, so I had to clean that off.
Overall, I would say that if more care was taken with the final finishing touches, it could have been a great (good value) bow, and given it's pernambuco, a limited resource, I'm a little disappointed more effort was not put into the making and finishing of this bow.

Almost Awesome
It is a beautiful violin, and so typical of a Ma Zhibin master violin (that I researched on the web), the tonewood selection is top quality and very aesthetically pleasing. The maple back has amazing chatoyance, it looks as if it had a 3mm thick glass hologram on it. It is a very powerful violin compared to a student violin, and the tone is beautifully warm and clear (for such a new violin). The workmanship is generally excellent (except for setup and minor issue as described below.
Minor issues:
The small knob on the tuning peg weren't glued in properly, and fell out which required gluing back in place (lucky I found it in the case). The 'E' string fine tuner is cheap and make the violin vibrate and inteferred with the fine sound that this violin can generate, so I replaced that with a better quality (lighter) one and the issue is resolved.
Setup not perfect:
The peg paste used weren't that good and I so paid for a local luthier to re setup the tuning pegs (which BTW, where perfectly cut and holes were straight), just let down by the setup process.
The bridge looks as though it wasn't trimmed/setup with the violin, the action measured on the highside, My local luthier setup a new (also french) bridge and it is now perfect. The Dominant strings weren't a good match to this violin (E and A were overpowering G & D) and so my local luthier put on new Evah Parazzi.
The varnish feels as if it could do with another few weeks of hardening up, but I understand it's a business and they need to generate cash flow.
So overall, I would say it's a great purchase, and with the extra $$$ spent locally, I am a very proud owner of a Ma Zhibin violin that's as good as any euro hand made violin (if not better). The octagonal brazilwood bow with whalebone wrap that came with the violin looks great, but doesn't respond very well with this violin (feels a bit dampened/dead), I am guessing it's the cheapest bow in the range.
