Does the job
Loading driver software requires some patience, but I used the provided disk and it turned out OK. I use this for PC backups to external drives. It seems to take longer with this USB3 port than built-in USB3 ports on other PCs using the same external drives. But it's definitely faster than USB2. The card can unseat itself from the slot if pushed much, but if left untouched, it stays seated and works OK. This unit has a short cord that plugs into a USB port on your computer. This is supposedly for 5 volt power. Overall, price and product are good.
