4 Historic Japanese 1.5 hr. films made in early 1970. Funny and a cultural Japan icon.

In the 1970;s I watched in Los Angeles several of the 48, 90 minute films. I loved then and my Chinese wife and children also. Interesting in so many ways and the adventures this wonderer around Japan in different and funny situations. The women characters often fell in love with him, but he liked more to to return home to his family and then head off again. These woman were top Japanese actresses and at least one top from USA. Seeing these 4 movies again is so enjoyable. This is the first Volume of a collector's set of 4 movies. More Tora-san collector's set are like to be released. Last year when in Tokyo I took 3 trains and found the original move set and was so familiar. Quality if the 4 DVD's is high. However, I paid $50 for this set. They could have put the 4 movies on 2 DVD's or one Blue-ray disk and kept the price lower. Better value for customers. Yet look forward to more movies in the future. Hope this helps. Roger Hess
