Stratoplay Blasts it Right Out of the Stratosphere!
This is such an energetic collection of recordings from the British band that on the surface seemed a bit like the B52s, but as soon as you have a listen, they're vastly different.
The Revillos are like Cilla Black meets go-go trash sci fi with a surf beat and gobs of punk dolloped on and smothered with a cheeky layer of their own brand of humour.
If the Ramones was ever looking for a sister band in the pop stream, The Revillos IS that band.
This collection is a handy assembly of official albums, live albums, singles and alternate versions, and while disc 6 suffers by comparision due to poor sound quality - it was recorded live in 1981 on what sounds like a cassette recorder that had been left out in the rain, and is very much a fans only disc - all the other discs are winners.
The hard to find 1979 single Where's the Boy For Me? is pure pop perfection, and is more than worth the purchase price for this song alone.
So pile on your rockabilly quiff or Sassoon hairstyle, slip on your silver foil jumpsuit, your mini skirt, white lipstick, heavy eye makeup and wraparound shades and - if youre not exhausted by now - hurry up and by Stratoplay by The Revillos and go go to your heart's content!

You'll believe the first animated Superman can fly!
It's so good to see these classic cartoons in vivid colour and clarity!
After persevering through an older muddy DVD edition for far too long, I can almost imagine I'm in a cinema back in 1941 watching these gems on the big screen for the first time.
My advice to you, dear Kal Eloholic, is to indulge in this timeless collection, and let the nostalgia send you soaring, not unlike the last son of Krypton over the skyscrapers of Metropolis.
