This is unexpectedly an academic book for serious readers of history. The illustrations are interesting and the book appears to give more depth to the various battles where bows - crossbows, short bows and long bows - were involved.

Not a book for adults.

A good text book for third graders. I was after deeper material to try to understand how possibly the best general in either army and an able administrator failed at Yorktown.

Excellent reading.

This a great read. The style is antiquated and reflects his time period. The recipes and advice are as good now as when the book was written.
