great little volt meter
This is an excellent meter for individual monitoring of any DC voltage between 3 and 100 volts. It has a separate power supply input so that you can even monitor voltage down to 0 volts. I use it for keeping individual battery packs monitored in a Li-on battery pack. They're small but easily read and can be attached easily to any surface with hot glue. If you are a tinker, then this would be a great choice.

Always choose the right iron
I got my first soldering iron when I was 10 years old. I have always loved electrical and electronic things. I progressed from that first awkward 40 watt iron with a wooden handle to the more sleek designs of the plastic pencil irons to the soldering guns and in each case I learned what the differences were between the type of iron and the work you were doing. Obviously you don't want to use a high wattage iron on a delicate printed circuit board and a 25 watt iron won't do if you are heating a large surface. The bottom line is if you are a tinker, crafts person, electronics guru or whatever, you need an assortment of irons. The Weller 80 watt iron is great for all the bigger jobs that require more heat to surface temperature. I bought this iron because I am building Li-ion battery packs for solar power. To solder the batteries together you must have momentary high heat to bond to the battery terminals without being there too long or you will destroy the battery. This soldering iron is perfect for the job. The LED lights built into the handle are also a great idea. Much easier to see your work, especially in dimly lit situations or where you end up shadowing your work with your own hand. Weller has built a reputation for itself over the years and one they deserve. I know I have been very pleased with the addition of this soldering iron to my collection, and I think you will be too.

Great way to track temp
Water temperature is very important to some species of fish, if you are looking for an inexpensive way to do this daily task, then this little digital thermometer is just what you need. Easy to read and pretty accurate. Readings in either °F or °C. It has an on off switch, but I never use it because the battery lasts a long time. For the money, you can't beat this value.
