Great for beginners
3 of 3 found this helpful Perfect lens for a beginner. (Which is probably why it's the kit lens.) The quality is sharp, and it has decent image stabilization. I read a lot of reviews that recommended the USM version over this one. And for a professional, I would too. But for a beginner who doesn't have a lot of money to throw around, the quality for the price can't be beat!
