Very stable epoxy
I have been used the Devcon 5 min epoxy to bed rifle barrels for 20 years and found it to be very stable in all weather conditions. It blends with dyes very well to match wood color. For repair, it holds up and attaches much better than some of the two part mixes-in-the-tube epoxies from Lowes.
