Great lens for the price
6 of 6 found this helpful I am new to digital photography but have researched it pretty intensely before taking the leap. This lens was one that caught my eye since it was rated well online, was not too pricey and had the range I was looking for. Having used it now for a few weeks I can say that the autofocus is extremely quick and very quiet. The images are very sharp as well. There is no button on the lens to switch from manual to autofocus but that does not seem to be so much of an issue since after autofocusing one can simply turn the ring on the end of the lens to manual focus (I think this is what is called manual override). No button for the VR on/off either, that is done through the camera's menu. So overall, I think this is a great lens at a very reasonable price.
