Handy, Lightweight, Convertible and Easy to Use
The bench serves its purpose well. It is too dangerous for my elderly mother with dementia to stand in the shower anymore, but with this bench I just sit her on it and slide her into the shower. I think it's just the size and shape of my small bathtub, but I do wish the bench legs inside the tub fit more "flush" to that side of the tub so I wouldn't get so much water on the floor, coming off her body. But I do like the product and would recommend it.
A note: when we put the bench together, I wasn't sure how I was going to use it, but after the first shower or two, I decided it worked better for us for me to face my mother away from the shower head,but it was very easy to switch the parts around so the bench would face away from the water.
Also, to the designers of the bench: it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and put hand rails on both ends so she has something to hold onto when she is at either end.
